When Brisa reached out to me about engagement photos, my jaw dropped in excitement. She was one of many people I photographed back in college so I remember fondly of our afternoon session at The University of Texas. Now, with so many years passed, she’s finally getting married! It was absolutely fun planning their session because Brisa and Christian have a lot memories in Austin. We eventually settled on Mozart’s Coffee Roasters because it was where they had their first date, and we wanted to re-create those memories. On the day of, we had an insanely windy and cold day in the middle of spring, but they were such troupers. Brisa has the most infectious and beautiful laughter and smile, and Christian always knew how to bring it out of her. This session is certainly a favorite up to date, and I have the utmost excitement and love for these two. Cheers!
Beware… long post ahead.
I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding to start my 2019 with. I still remember the day I met Tim and Jess, and it was such a sweet time where we got to share our stories and for me to understand the journey that led them to where they are now. Since that day, it’s been an adventure. Shortly after our first meeting, Tim called me unexpectedly to surprise Jess with a proposal on her birthday, and all the months after, I’ve enjoyed listening to their engagement journey, what they’ve been learning, and the hopes and dreams they’ve had for marriage. By fall, we captured stunning pictures for their engagement in downtown Austin. Meanwhile, we continued to grow closer as friends. They’ve shown me the upmost care, love, and support, especially during one of my most heartbreaking seasons, and through their friendship, I'm constantly humbled by their faithfulness and servant-heart. It was such an honor to be present on their wedding day and celebrate this precious milestone. Each frame just captures their love for each other and the anticipation they’ve had for this day, especially surrounded by their closest friends and family. From the bottom of my heart, congratulations Tim and Jessica.

I had an absolute joy photographing Diana and Matt’s engagement. When they reached out about doing their photos in Austin, we wanted to create a session that captured the city’s spirit, and one of the locations we thought of was the 360 Bridge. These two are so playful and quick to laughter, and it was fun to see how much of that reflected in their photos. Can they can be any sweeter?! Afterwards, we headed to a park nearby to wrap up the session before the sunset was gone. This was such a fun way to invite the spring season back. Cheers!

Remember these two cuties? Back in March, I photographed Tim’s proposal to Jessica, and it’s been a journey ever since! I’ve been SO pumped for their engagement session for a long time. Everything about Jess and Tim scream class, but what I love most about them is their heart. They have so much love for each other, but more importantly, their friends and family. When we first got around to planning this session, their first idea was to keep it urban, a setting that really captured the heart of downtown Austin and one that marked the start of their new home. This isn’t a style that I do a lot so it was absolutely exciting to capture their session at one of my favorite locations, Second Street District! I’m obsessed with the pop of colors from the cute cafes and the city street vibe. In a way, I felt like this style was also an ode to Tim’s childhood in New York. All in all, this was such a fun and stylish session. I am already excited for their February wedding next year.
Congratulations, Grace & Alex.
