Congratulations, Lucas & Nancy…
May these always photos be a sweet reminder of your love and journey together.
The most incredible adventure I’ve had in the last few months. Stephanie and Michael both expressed wanting to reflect their passions and loves in their engagement photos, particularly somewhere with rocks and water, and I absolutely think we accomplished that at Chalk Ridge Falls Park. Initially, we had a different location planned, but ended up changing plans due to the unexpected rain. I loved both of their easy going spirits, and it was fun exploring this scenic park while capturing beautiful frames with the couple and their pup, Scout. All throughout, I could hear the thunder at a distance, but we persevered and at some point, we were gifted with the last bit of sunset before it started raining again. But more importantly, I had the upmost fun getting to know Stephanie and Michael and was grateful to be in the presence of such a genuine, kind, and intentional couple. Even with so many wedding changes as a result of COVID, they have kept the most positive outlook for their big day, and I can’t wait to see them again soon in Houston.
Where to even begin with this engagement session? This was such a special and meaningful one as it was the first shoot I got to photograph since COVID-19 became a pandemic. As Michelle and I planned these last few months, she knew she wanted something that was both natural yet cosmopolitan, and the Mandalay Bay Canal in Dallas, TX was the perfect combination of that style. Not only that, it had insanely BEAUTIFUL European vibes that really transport the photos to the streets of Italy. I had a fantastic time capturing Michelle and Matthew during golden hour, and I just loved how easily they could make each other laugh. Despite all that’s been going on, I am so encouraged by my time with these two. Love is simply not canceled, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in December!
