What a privilege it was to capture Garrison and Laura’s engagement at Jennifer’s Gardens. It was the perfect proposal, intimate and sweet, and despite the weather forecast being cloudy and rainy, we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset. They were such naturals in front of the camera. I just loved how tenderly Garrison treated Laura and the sweetest moments that reflected their joy. Congratulations, Garrison and Laura!
It was so sweet photographing SeeBok and JoAnn’s engagement session up in Dallas. We met up a White Rocks Lake, where the water beautifully glittered in the sunset by the docks. Our session started out incredibly fun, especially with the addition of the couple’s pup, Toby, so there were many perfect moments that afternoon. Not only that, JoAnn looked absolutely gorgeous and angelic in her white dress, which benefited so much from the slight breeze that day. We had many good laughs, and I loved how all of that was reflected in their photos. It’s freeing, calm, and full of joy. I can’t wait for their wedding next spring!
P.S. I hope this shoot encourages you to include your dog in your photos! It’s so worth it and adds a completely different perspective to your story.
Loved spending this beautiful afternoon with Chris and Karen. The sunset could not have been more perfect for our lighting, and I’m so in love with each frame. We were originally going to do the session at another park for its gorgeous waterfall, but after scouting, I realized that the entire creek bed was dried up and evaporated! (Thank you, Texas heat…) Thanks to their flexibility, we made quick decision to photograph at Bull Creek instead, and I have no regrets. In fact, everything fell into place so perfectly. I am so excited to photograph their wedding in Houston in two months!
If there’s anyone I’d wake up at sunrise for, it’d always be my couples! Antoinette and Lei were traveling in from Thailand to visit family, and thankfully, we were able to fit in a couples session the day before they left! I’ve never been more in love with the lighting that day - it was soft and dreamy, and there was something inherently romantic about a Texas summer morning. I loved the quiet sound of the creek and the birds chirping, which made the perfect backdrop to capture these frames for Lei and Antoinette. It was truly effortless with these two. They were incredibly sweet and gentle towards each other, and it was simply beautiful to capture. I hope as you scroll these frames that you’d also feel those warm, snuggly feelings. Cheers!
It couldn’t have been more fun photographing Christina and Danny’s engagement session. They were recently engaged when Danny flew in to Austin to propose to Christina. Their summer session took place at Lady Bird Lake because the couple wanted their photos to reflect Austin’s natural yet urban styles, the city where their story began. Despite it being a ridiculously hot day (thank you, Texas), we were blessed with such gorgeous lighting. Everything just fell into place, and I appreciated seeing Christina and Danny ease into their session more comfortably and naturally. I loved their quirks, giddiness, sarcasm, and everything in between. It was fun to simply capture them and let the sunset guide us.
